Short Tour Description
Popular Kenya safari package on a 6 day tour visiting Masai Mara game reserve, L. Nakuru national park and Amboseli national Park. Safari package visits class A Kenya national parks & a game reserve providing excellent game viewing opportunities to see The Big 5, awesome scenery, wonderful bird life and close local cultural encounters. The tour explores the tree studded Savannah plains of Masai Mara, bird life and Rhinos at the Lake Nakuru and Amboseli national Park.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Leave Nairobi in the morning at 8.00 am drive to the view point of the great rift valley, descend the escarpment and drive via Narok then to Masai Mara for lunch at the campsite followed by afternoon game drive in Masai Mara famous for its black manned lions and yearly migration of wildebeests, dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 2: Full Time Masai Mara Exploration
Breakfast at the lodge then proceed with picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will high chances of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the park, or you can choose to have an early morning and late afternoon game drives. At extra cost you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Masai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years or go for a Hot Air Balloon ride. Dinner and overnight in camp/lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
Pre breakfast game drive, return to camp for late breakfast. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch enroute, with chances to view Mt. Longonot and Lake Naivasha while on the main highway arriving in the late afternoon, to check in the hotel in time for Dinner and overnight in Nakuru Hotel.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli
After breakfast, proceed for an extensive morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to see the many animals that inhabit this unique park. Lake Nakuru is known for it’s millions of flamingoes and other water birds. Leave lake Nakuru National Park to proceed to Amboseli National Park with lunch enroute for dinner and overnight at a campsite in Amboseli.
Day 5: Amboseli Exploration
Today after your breakfast you will head for a full day game drive. Amboseli is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border and is often referred to as “The home of Elephants” since some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. There are also vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos and many species of plain game.
You will have lunch and leisure break at the camp or lodge then end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather from the observation hill. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
After breakfast leave campsite for the last game drive in the park as you leave the Amboseli park for Nairobi with Picnic lunch served enroute arriving in Nairobi late afternoon.
